The purpose of the EPA Lead Certification Initial On-Line Course is to train individuals on lead-safe work activity including:

    • To understand the health risks of lead based paint and coated surfaces.
    • To understand the rules and regulations governing lead-based paint.
    • To understand pre-renovation responsibilities
    • To understand proper containment set up.
    • To understand lead dust control measures, protection techniques and disposal considerations.
    • To understand cleaning, inspection and sampling strategies.
  • To understand recordkeeping requirements.
